28 Apr IBN Charity Golf Day 2014
Inaugural Charity Golf Day 2014
IBN Private hosted our Inaugural Charity Golf Day on Friday 19th September 2014. With over 70 players on the day, we were fortunate to have a warm spring day with blue skies and a light breeze.
The question on everyone’s minds was “who was going to lucky enough to get a hole-in-one on the 4th hole?”. Not just any hole-in-one, but one fraught with danger from a swooping magpie and a promise of $35,000 for the lucky golfer whose aim was true. Under the watchful eye of Kristina Spencer from the MFAA, the teams all passed through Hole 4, but sadly no-one won the prize.
We did have winners on the day, most of all, our nominated charity Lindsay Carter. All proceeds from the players fees and sponsorships, raffles and the charity auction have resulted in over $10,000 being raised for Lindsay to help him and his mother, Lanai, beat his brain tumour.
A fantastic day was had by all, thanks to Pelican Waters for their friendly service and being a major sponsor. We look forward to next year’s Golf Day, with players and sponsors already registering with us!
